My wife and I just returned from a beautiful visit to Italy. We were in Florence for 3 nights and stayed at the Katti House. In planning our trip, we noticed this property was not in the 2015 edition of Rick Steves Italy. Based on the prior year's information, we decided to give it a try anyway. We were very pleased with our choice! The location was perfect, close proximity to everything we wanted to see, and on a street filled with great eating places. The price was better than many of the other choices in that area. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfasts were good. Maria even offered a 2nd cup of her wonderful cappuccino! They also own the Trattoria Katti, next door to the hotel. We ate dinner there twice and loved it both times. Guest get a 10% discount off of the dinner price. We hope this one gets added back in to future editions of Rick Steves Italy and other guidebooks that cover Florence.
We loved staying at Katti House several years ago. Glad to hear she is still in business. She was very kind and helpful and the room was very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated.
We were actually sent there by her friend
"Mama Ratta?" (if I am remembering correctly) who was and probably still is listed. Another vote for Katti House.
