Anyone know what an "external private bathroom" means at the Katti House in Florence? We've read a number of positive reviews but I've been unable to find out from their website or from the owners via email. Thanks.

It probably means you have your own private bathroom but it is in the hall, outside your room. This is ok unless you want to dash there naked.

Laurie, As previously mentioned, that likely refers to a bathroom which is external to your room, but designated for use ONLY by the residents of your room. It could be down the hallway or whereever. Katti House also operates a nice restaurant which is just outside the front door. There's also a Laundromat right across the narrow street. I had a delightful chat with Katti when I was in Florence in June. Hsppy travels!
