Many of us have used and recommended Katie Parla’s Rome iOS app for finding restaurants in Rome. It will no longer open on my phone and can’t be found in the App Store. Her website still has it shown but I can’t get it. Does anyone know the scoop? Is it retired, being updated or is this an App Store issue?

Apparently Katie's Rome and Istanbul apps haven't been updated to work with the most current iOS, which is why they don't show up in the App Store. Major disappointment for my most recent trip to Rome! Based on Katie's Twitter feed, it sounds like she's working on a new cookbook, which could understandably be consuming most of her time.
I recommend Natalie Kennedy's Discover Rome app as an alternative Rome app. Natalie's content is equal to Katie's, and it has more ideas of non-site activities (art galleries and such). I used that app for the most recent Rome trip and explored some new places thanks to Natalie's recommendations. Well worth it!
