When buying an ARTCARDE in Naples, you can use the card for ALL trains going from Pompei to Naples not just the crowded Circumvesusiana. They were less crowded, and very frequent. A real plus if you stayed in modern Pompei and left the "Pompei" station rather than the crowded "Pompei-Scavi" station. Yes, there is a second entrance by the Amplitheater in the Scavi and therefore very close to the city of Pompei.
It's helpful to bring snacks on train but they do have food on faster trains. We made little sandwiches plus fruit from our hotel's breakfast buffets.

If you have a long report, you'll need to break it into two OR MORE parts. The "Characters Left" counter at the bottom is a guide, but doesn't always provide correct indication.
