Just back from 18 days in Italy...

My husband and I just returned from an 18-day trip throughout northern Italy, ending in Perugia in central Italy. We stayed in hotels and with various family during the trip. Thankfully, with the help of this website and Tripadvisor, every hotel met (and often exceeded) our expectations. Here are our hotels and the prices we paid: GENOVA - Hotel Iris = € 115 (double) (south of the city, 3 blocks from the beach) MILANO - Hotel Aurora = €100 (triple) (on a fabulous shopping street 4 metro stops from the Duomo) VENICE - Hotel Violino d'Oro = € 208 (triple) (canal view room, included water taxi ride to Murano fabulous!) SAN MARINO - Hotel Rosa = € 90 (triple) (perfect location, view room with balcony) PERUGIA - B&B San Fiorenzo = €120 (triple) (HUGE "apartment" with kitchen in)
PISA - Hotel Bologna = € 90 (double) (in an old section of the city close to the airport and convenient for our flight the next morning) All hotels included breakfast. Ciao! :)

Are there any of your cities that with hindsight you wouldn't have chosen?

If you have time, post these on the "Graffiti Wall" with a little explanation about each one. Sounds like you had a great time.
