Just a timing question

We arrive at 0850 (at least that's what AA says) in Fiumicino. What time should I expect to be able to make a reservation for a train to Venice? Carry-on only BTW.

Dan,

I wouldn't bother making any reservations. There are numerous high speed trains between Rome and Venice every day, so you shouldn't have long to wait for the next one.

As it's somewhat difficult to estimate how much time it will take to clear FCO, I'd suggest buying your ticket for Venice when you arrive in Rome.

Happy travels!

Dan,

A bit of further information.....

Have a look at This Website (click on the "Transportation" link) or This Website for more details on the trains.

As I recall, there are FS ticket offices at FCO, so you should be able to buy your ticket to Venice before you even board the Leonardo Express (hopefully someone else can confirm that). Don't forget to validate!

Cheers!
