June 12 Train Question

I need to get from Rome to either Gavorrano or Grosseto on June 12, but it seems that is one of the only days where the usual intercity or direct trains are unavailable to book. I've looked at Trenitalia, Italo and other options, but don't see anything.

Is there a reason this day is unavailable? I saw something about schedules changing around June 14, but why would the 12th be unavailable?

is there a reason this day is unavailable?

I'm positive there must be a reason, trenitalia does not put ticket sales on hold only to scare tourists. It's seems it's some IC & Frecciabianca trains to Genoa that are "temporarily" not available, most probably there are some works along the old coastal line or in Genoa itself. With the train # you could discover where the works are, but does it actually make a difference from your point of view? Just wait, "temporarily not available" does not mean delayed.

Incidentally, there are only two options: Trenitalia and Italotreno. The latter runs only high speed trains. Any other option is a reseller.

I don’t think ItaloTreno travels that route?
So Trenitalia would be only option
