July - How early do I need to be at Colosseum to avoid the HEAT

Sorry, might be a repeat question to the forum but trying to see if I have advance tickets with reservations how early do I need to be at the Colosseum to do Roman Forum first and then Colosseum leaving Palentine Hill for the last.

Any tour suggestions which would help little with the crowd and better experience ?

The earlier the better. The Colesseum offers plenty of opportunity for shade, Palentine Hill not so much.

Colosseum entry tickets are not time nor date specific. Go when you wish. If you are going during the summer expect crowds at all times of the day. Morning tends to be more crowded than the afternoon as most people try to avoid the heat of the day.

If you purchase general-entry tickets - no tours - then tickets don't have dates or times on them. You can use them to visit the Colosseum and Forum/Palatine on any two consecutive days between now and the end of December. Your pre-purchased tickets allow you to skip the ticket lines at the Colosseum - which are the longest - but not the security queues, which move faster.

You may visit all three sites on one day or split them up over two consecutive days. The Forum and Palatine count as a single attraction and must be visited together, though: you access one directly from the other inside the secured area. This means that you can't do the Forum, leave, and then come back to visit the Palatine. You can, however, do the Colosseum on one day and the Forum/Palatine the next, if wishing to split them up, or the Colosseum early in the morning and the other two after than.

Your children (13 and 16) will be "free" but you'll need to collect tickets for them at the special events counter at the Colosseum. Choose the "pickup@ticket office" option when you do the checkout for your adult tickets. Bring your printed-out vouchers - along with your children's passports for proof of age - to the special events counter to collect all of your tickets: ask a guard if you are uncertain where to go. You will all pass through a security checkpoint before proceeding to that counter.
