Judaica in Murano

Are there any shops in Murano that make/sell Judaica? I know it can be found in the Ghetto but we’re planning on visiting Murano before the Ghetto.

I haven't been to Murano, so I can't speak to your inquiry. I did go to a Judaica shop in the Ghetto. They had some lovely items in Murano Glass. Another contributor to the RS Forum reported last year that she bought a Murano Glass Menorah. I saw some beautiful Mezuzah's as well. From what I understand the Murano glass is less expensive in Venice.

David’s shop in the ghetto has beautiful Murano glass. Look at the website. We have a beautiful kiddush cup from there. Don’t know what you’ll find visiting Murano but I suspect you’ll see more in the ghetto.

As previous poster stated, David’s in the ghetto has the best selection, the best quality, and the best prices. There were some places in Murano where I saw the glass Rabbi statuettes, but they were not as intricate, well done, or well-packed. When we got home, the arms had fallen off. If you are visiting the ghetto, I would wait to purchase items at David’s unless you see something really fabulous in Murano, but we did not. You can check out what is available at Davidshop.com. The owner has perfect English, and is quite the character. He wrapped all our purchases well, and we enjoy seeing them displayed in our home.
