Joys rooms ortigia

We are wondering, if anyone here has had experience with Joys rooms.
We wanted to go to Noto from Ortigia... Joys rooms also offer day trips, not sure if we can trust them or if they it is worth it.

Let me know if you have any experience with them. Or if you have been to Noto from Ortigia.

Thank you
Maria

You may consider visiting Noto on your own as it’s an easy bus ride.
I did this years ago via the Interbus.
I purchased my tickets at the small kiosk near the train station on Corso Umberto I, 196, Siracusa but you can also book your tickets online. Here’s the Interbus website:

When in Ortigia make sure you eat at my favorite restaurant: Sicilia in Tavola and save room for the delicious pistachio cream tiramisu!

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

I agree, you don't need a tour to see Noto. The Interbus takes less than an hour and costs €4. It leaves a stop about 1km from the Temple of Apollo.

I stayed at Joy's Rooms Ortigia, but did not take any excursions from them.

Likely, they themselves do not do the excursions and other options they offer, (Cave tours, Boat tours, Rickshaw and tuk-tuk tours) but use local operators they have arrangements with, and get some cut of the booking.

In essence, they are a third party booking agent, but then most of the other places advertising a wide range of tours in Ortigia are as well. On one hand, they are no worse (or better) than any website you will find. As for "trust", yeah, they will take care of you and make sure things go OK. They have an interest in making sure you are happy.

Like others are saying, Noto is easy to get to be public transport, easy direct connection. I am not sure the sights warrant a "must" for a guided tour, if they are offering that. You can get as much by doing it yourself.
