Joining Venice,Florence & Rome Tour 8/29

Hello
I am going to be joining the Venice, Rome and Florence tour 8/29.
I am traveling to Venice alone, and am a little nervous about finding my way from the airport to the Vaporetto.
Which station do you go to Pizalle roma or Santa Luccia station bus or does it matter. ?
Any thoughts?

It's not hard. You have a few choices. You can take the ATVO bus to the Piazzale Roma (that's the name of the bus station), which is your cheapest option. You can take the Alilaguna boat, which is more expensive but not too bad. And you can also take a water taxi, which will set you back over 100 Euros. Here's a link to some detailed information: http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/arriving_in_venice_by_air.htm

Part of which route you choose might depend on your hotel's location. I don't know what hotel that tour uses.

So Either I take the Allaguna directly from the airport to Rialto - or I take a bus to Pizalle Roma and then catch a different line to Rialto? I booked a hotel the first night a friend in the office recommended whose father had stayed there many times; I am beginning to questions that right about now - lol.

The hotel is in a great location, and its website gives straightforward directions on how to get there.

The information from the Location page of the hotel - which also has a printable PDF map - is

HOW TO REACH US

By air

The “Marco Polo” airport is 14 km from Venice.
The Alilaguna boat, leaving from the airport wharf, will bring you to
Piazza San Marco in approximately 1 hour. From the piazza, continue in
the direction of Campo San Luca; in five minutes you will reach Calle
dei Fabbri where Hotel Gorizia awaits. As an alternative, take a water
taxi, agreeing to the rate before departure, or use the Atvo and Actv
bus services taking you to Piazzale Roma in 30 minutes. Continue as
described below.

By car

On arriving at Piazzale Roma leave your car
in a paid parking area and head to the ferry stop. Line 2 will take
you to the Rialto stop in 15 minutes, get out of the ferry and turn
immediately right, passing a small bridge, and turning left, you will
find Calle Bembo, following which you will reach our hotel; line 1
will take you to Rialto in 25 minutes, on leaving the ferry, turn into
Calle Bembo in front of the landing, which becomes Calle dei Fabbri
where you will find hotel Gorizia on the left.

By train

On arriving at
the station of Santa Lucia take line 2 of the ferry, which will take
you to the Rialto stop in 10 minutes. At this point, continue as
described above.

Thank you so much for your reassurance - guess Im just a little nervous. But between this and familiarizing myself with the map I am all good.
Thank you!

Hi,

If you're on the RS tour, you should receive your instructions on how to get to the hotel from the airport in Venice. I received mine and I am on the same tour but the earlier one that starts on 8/26.

I am solo too and excited about it!

Happy Travels!
