January in Rome

We want to use RomePass, and we want to buy our tickets to the Vatican Museums online ahead of time. How do I use the RomePass AND purchase online ahead of time?

You're probably thinking of the Omnia Card....

But to add, €113.00 (72 hours) for that card is ridiculously expensive, and they confuse the truth a bit on their website with the claim of:

"Free entry to Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel "

"Free entry to your choice of 2 out of 6 top Rome attractions including The Coliseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Capitolini Museums, Borghese Gallery and National Museum of Castel Sant'Angelo."

First of all, no entry is "free" because you've paid for it when you buy a pass (to be fair, the Roma Pass makes this same claim). Secondly, the Coliseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill are on a single ticket if you purchase it individually (€ 14,00 online) so it's really 2 out of 4 attractions and not 6.

The Hoho bus the pass includes is also not a good way to get around Rome: lots of issues with those buses.

If you still want to purchase a pass, you'd do better just to buy the 38,50 € Roma Pass (72 hours) + your Vatican Museums ticket separately for € 20.00 online. As with any pass, you need to do the math in advance to compare the price of the pass against individual entry fees, and how many attractions the pass covers that you want to see or even have TIME to see during your visit.
