J&J Fully Vaccinated Status

I got the J&J in May and my travel companion to Italy just got hers on September 16th. It seems that most of the planet concurs that full vaccination is 14 days after J&J the single shot. Since our flight returning from Italy transits through Paris I was researching our testing requirements for coming home and on France’s government Covid site they said that there has to be 4 weeks after the J&J to be considered fully vaccinated. Well, that made me really concerned about Italy so I started searching on the https://www.salute.gov.it/portale/home.html to see what Italy requires -2 weeks or 4 weeks post J&J to be considered fully vaccinated. I can’t find anything that defines that.

So my question- does anyone know where I can find if Italy requires 2 or 4 weeks post J&J to be considered fully vaccinated?

So after more research and calling Delta Airlines again this morning I think that I have my answer. Instead of deleting my post I wanted to post what I found in case others may benefit.

Delta stated that our final destination country is the only that we have to comply with. In this case it is Italy and even though we are transiting through France it doesn’t matter. According the Italian Embassy they recognize all vaccines as fully vaccinated at 14 days. So we should be good to go.

Enjoy your trip. We are going to Italy (following 3 days in Amsterdam) soon, too. :)

Thank you for the update! I am hoping a J&J booster will be approved at least 14 days before we leave for Rome on Nov 4. :)

Joe32F, thanks for the link. I was not aware of that meeting date. My last day to get vaccinated would be 10/20, so here's hoping they will approve it on the 15th and I can join the mighty stampede to Walgreens. :)

So far, the approval for Pfizer boosters in the US is only for a limited population. Nothing to indicate any country is changing the working definition of "fully vaccinated" as far as it impacts travel.
