Anyone have any experience using their Itouch on public wi-fi hotspots Italy to access e-mail, surf the web, browse Google maps, etc.??? If so, do you have any advice or experiences you would be willing to share?

Took mine with me in December. My Venice apartment had Wifi as did each hotel I stayed in. No problems to report. Also used it to upload RS audio guides and audio books. LOVED having it.

Using the internet has not been a problem in Italy with the iTouch.
However, the programs that try to determine my location don't seem to work (for example, the application called Around Me.) If that's something you're used to using, it might not work here. I just read that it only works on certain wifi connections that are done through a company called Skyhook.
I would LOVE for that application to work though, and get some recommendations for whichever area I wind up in!
