Just bought an iTouch to take with me on my trip to Italy in a few weeks. It's much more convenient than taking my laptop along. My question is what will I need to buy to charge my iTouch while on vacation? What products do you guys recommend? Thanks.
Surely the iTouch comes with a charger that plugs into an outlet. That charger should say on it, perhaps in tiny print, that it will accept input anywhere in the range from 110V to 240V. That means you don't need a power converter to charge it. It will automatically handle either USA 110V power and Italian 240V power.
So all you need is a plug adapter. Your USA plug won't fit the Italian socket. Travel stores, Radio Shack, and Walmart all sell plug adapters that fit the European sockets. You'll plug the adapter into the Italian socket, then plug your iTouch charger into that. Then it's just like charging at home.
The iTouch didn't come with a wall charger. It only came with a USB cord that plugs into a computer and the other end plugs into the iTouch itself.
Any store than sells iPods will certainly have a wall charger that you can buy. You will plug the USB cord into that. If you're still not sure, just go to a place like Best Buy and they will help you
James - you need the Apple USB Power Adapter.

BestBuy has them as well. $29 You will also need the appropriate adapter to plug the US pronged plug into to fit the Italian outlets.
Callpod! (www.callpod.com) you can get all the chargers/adaptors, etc you need. Great for home and travel.
For ours we bought a wall charger and used that with an adapter. I also bought a battery operated charger (for while in transit, etc.) but that one didn't work as well.
Thanks guys. That is exactly the responses I was hoping for. I'm gonna rum to Best Buy to tomorrow.
