Itinerary Suggestions for Milan with Kids

We are ending our trip to Italy with two days in Milan (because we fly out of Milan on the 3rd morning). Was thinking of spending the first day seeing the Last Supper and the Duomo. Would like to spend the 2nd day enjoying a soccer game at San Siro. Inter Milan will be playing...Has anyone seen a professional soccer game in Milan? What is the likelihood we will be able to obtain tickets? It is my understanding that we will not be able to purchase tickets until 1 week prior and that we can purchase them at Banca Populare Di Milano...is that only in Milan? Can we purchase them online or at other banks in Italy?

Lisa, I think you'll have to wait for Michael Schneider (one of the regulars here) to come along and answer your soccer-related questions! It seems that you've already checked the calendar of fixtures for Inter Milan? According to Inter's website, tickets can also be bought at a few different bank branches and also through Ticket. It which has outlets in the city and online. Some restrictions on ticket buying, I think to do with anti-touting, kicked in a few years ago - I'm not sure what the situation is for tourists. Maybe if you post this question as 'Soccer tickets in italy' someone with the knowledge will answer. Hope you do get answers and you and your boys will enjoy the game.

Great idea. I will try re-posting as Soccer Tickets, Italy. Thanks for the suggestion.

Lisa... this question posted 4 times... you should remove 3, must be a glitch. You don't say how old the kids are, girls or boys?
Might get more specific suggestions this way.

Sorry, I had different questions for different cities...It would not let me post it all in one question (too long). I did four posts, one for each city (Venice, Florence, Rome and Milan). My kids are 12, 11 and 9 (boy, girl, boy) Thanks for any help...

Sorry Lisa... I missed the different cities you listed. I was on line when you posted and they all kept coming up, so I thought it was a computer problem.... Anyway, I took my 9 year old grandson to Italy about 5 years ago and he definitely loved it. We went to Pisa (per his request) . He sat on the steps and sketched it and later in our hotel did a painting of it (I brought watercolors and paper for him) We had a car, so we loved driving around the countryside and stopping whenever we felt like it. He loved Rome and we also went to Venice and CT and Florence. We did a mix of staying in cities and villages and it was a great balance. We had picnics on a few occasions and lots of gelato!
He will be 15 in a few weeks and I am taking him to Paris, Normandy and the Christmas Markets... wonder if I should ask how to travel with a 15 year old! (actually he is one of my favorite travel partners...)

Milan has a big castle, Castello Sforzesco. Very beautiful and kids love it! Many people here don't like Milan, but I loved it! If you have time, take the Hop on hop off bus. You can see many things in Milan that most people don't get a chance to see! Have fun!!!
