Dear Shira,

April is a wonderful time to visit Rome- just before the real crowds start to arrive in early June. You will have plenty of time to see all those sites on your list, plus plenty of others. Rome is really not a big city. You should have time for a 1 day trip to the Naples/coastal area.

It looks like you are starting your planning very early. Good idea, but remember to be flexible.

If going to Rome (or any predominantly Catholic country) in April, be aware of the Easter holidays. Good Friday, as well as Easter, and Easter Monday are all holidays and many sites, museums, and businesses will be closed. Also during Easter week, accommodations will fill up quickly and will most likely be higher priced, so if planning to be there Easter week, plan far, far ahead.

I just came from a 21 days trip for some of the cities that you mentioned

I will give Rome no more than 2 or maybe 2.5 days, I will give Barcelona at least 4 days, there are short trips from Barcelona to see Dali's museum in a town close (45 minutes from Barcelona.

Everything else sound like a great idea.

By the way, RyanAir have a flight from Rome to Barcelona BUT it doesn't land in Barcelona, it land in a town 1 hour from it and a bus needs to be taken (12 euros)to downtown Barcelona.

For my flight between Barcelona and Madrid I took VUELING and the service is excellent and great prices if you book them 1-2 month in advance.

VUELING has a flight between Madrid-Paris and land in CDG airport in Paris when RyanAir land in a town 45 minutes away from Paris, the price difference is worth it when time matter.

15 days trip to Europe sound fantastic... I took 21 and it was sometimes hard to keep it up... a lot of walking, I recommend you to start 'training' to be fit to the trip
