Itinerary options

Hello,

We are a family of four (2 adults, two teenagers) traveling to Italy this summer. We are starting and ending our trip in Rome, but I was wondering about recommendations for the order of the rest of our trip. Our other locations include: Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre. Which rotation would make more sense? Rome to Venice to Cinque Terre to Florence to Rome OR Rome to Venice to Florence to Cinque Terre to Rome? Just wondering if there are personal preferences or benefits to a certain plan? We are traveling by train. Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Slight preference for Rome > Venice > Florence > 5 Terre > Rome, because from 5 Terre to Rome you have the option to take the coastal line (through Civitavecchia) rather than backtracking through Florence.
Not much difference, though!

Or to eliminate a split stay in Rome
Head to Florence on arrival
Then Venice to CT and end with all Rome nights at end
