Hi all,
We will be based in Montepulciano for 4 nights and are looking for recommendations for wineries, food tours, and other towns to visit in the Val D'orcia region. We fly into Florence so figure we will explore it then but we want this to be a non-city trip. Willing to drive a decent distance for unique and special experiences.

Pienza, San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino, Monticchiello- all easily reached from Montepulciano- combine a few each day.
RS has a good Val D'Orcia drive in his guidebook
I doubt any of the above offer food tours
for larger towns- Siena, Cortona, Arezzo.
Wineries typically need reservations- you will need a designated driver if you interred to wine te=aste
