Hi there just wanting a bit of advice, basically trying to squeeze as much of the beautiful sites into a short trip (when traveling from the other side of the world don't have the luxury of coming back in a hurry) is this too ambitious? Any advice would be great. Thanks

With this on top of your Croatia schedule, I think you might need a "vacation from your vacation." Have you traveled like this before--and is this your preferred style of travel? It is hard to speak for another, but this looks quite aggressive. I almost commented on the Croatia one but ultimately thought it looked doable just not my style. But to double that rate of travel seems like it could be very tiring. Stop and smell the flowers or what you will see is a lot of roadway.

Like the locations.
Too many 2 night and even a couple 1 night stays for my taste.
Ok with mixing in a couple 2 night stays but in this case most every stay is not more than 2 nights, never a fan of single overnights that involve time to get to a new location.
If you got rid of any 1 night stays and had half 2 night and half 3 night stays I would like this plan much better.
Would need to drop a couple locations of course to make that work.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as valadelphia. This really depends on your preferred style of travel, but I think in general it feels like too much moving around (both portions) to try to see as much as you can, but you're not spending enough time being anywhere.

If you are comfortable with this go for it! It's just hard to offer good suggestions, because it does feel too ambitious. I get that you're coming from so far away and trying to see as much as you can in the time you have, and I can relate to that.

But here's the thing: between Croatia and Italy, you have a lot of small towns with some combination of narrow passageways, medieval architecture, charming shops, lovely waterfronts, hills, towers, churches, and pleasant eateries, all of which are worth seeing, many of which have unique qualities, but all of which have many similarities. You don't have to see all of them to get a good feel for what they are like. At least consider longer visits to fewer places. Try to select the best one or two Tuscan hill towns. Maybe stay in one Tuscan location for a week and visit others on day trips. It looks like you have 19 nights in Italy; maybe pick four bases where you will stay and live like a local for a few days.

I agree with the others--this on top of the proposed Croatian itinerary is going to be exhausting. A pace that works for 7 or 10 or 14 days may not be maintainable on a longer trip. Have you thought about how you'll handle your laundry? That takes time unless you get a reasonable price from your hotels, and I never want to count on hand-washed items' drying overnight.

I've been to just about all your destinations, and they are lovely. I'm just concerned that you don't have time to enjoy them fully.

For example, the trip from Salerno to Orvieto is 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours by train, plus time required to deal with two hotels and two train stations. You won't have an awful lot of time to spend in Orvieto, which is not small, as hill towns go, and is really lovely to wander around in. It also has a cathedral and a museum, as well as other sights to visit.

I haven't [edited] been to Siena recently, but a half-day there sounds quite short.

Thanks so much for your feedback. Definately something to think about.
we had done bus about which was a similar style of 2 nights each place which like you say is sort of a taste, not really scratching the surface.( plus bus picked u up and dropped you off so no time spent on transport) will def have a play around and see what's more important to see and re assess
