I hoping to get advice on how best to divide time/ travel in the north end of Italy, after spending 3 weeks last summer in places mostly south of Florence (including Rome, Montepulciano, Assisi, Siena, Sorrento,& Amalfi ,also Cinque Terre/Pisa/Lucca).
We are two 50 yr old active women, arriving 2 pm to Milan (from Prague) looking to visit Lake Como (Bellagio or Varenna for 2-3nights) , possibly Venice Murano/Burano x 1- 2 nights (?with a stop in Verona /Lake Garda on the way), then down to Florence for 5 -7 days before leaving there on Easter Sunday. Our budget is 50-120 euro per night (for both) , we prefer less museum time than "experiences", and would love to take advantage of being something traditional for easter week in Florence/surrounding area. My friend would love to see a little of Tuscany for a couple days, so we could rent a car and go to San Gim, Cortona, Arezzo, or similar as a 2 day excursion from Florence. I am having trouble narrowing down the choices so we don't spend more time traveling and less time enjoying a place we would like to see!
Thanks!
