Hello,
I'm planning our trip for next summer. 2 weeks. Late July-Aug.
I think we will fly in and out of Venice.
Venice 5 nights
Santa Maddalena 2 nights (if I can a place that allow short stay)
Ortisei 7 night
Venice 1 night (before flying out of Venice)
I'm not sure if 9 nights too much for South Tyrol. But I really want to see Santa Maddalena and we will not have a car.
I also factor in if we have some rainy days.
Initially I was going to say only 7 nights in Ortisei and take taxi to Santa Maddalena, but I thought it may be best just to stay right there, and prebook taxi to take us from Bolzano straight to Santa Maddalena. Someone suggested Taxi Ivan.
Santa Maddalena, we will see the town, churches and hike Adolf Munkel trail.
Ortisei, this is what I have in mind:
- Furnes-Seceda-Pieralongia-Col Riser lift-Santa Christina
- Alpe di Siusi: Mont Seuc cable car-saltria-Compacio
-Selva: telecabin de la Sassolugo to Rifugio Demetz
-Rasciessa ridge
-Walk to San Giacomo
-Vallelunga
-Bolzano/Brixen (for rainy days).
What do you think about this itinerary?
Thanks,
