Itinerary for 15 nights in Italy

Hi all

My family of four (including my two teenagers) are going Italy first time next month.

I have in mind to visit the following places
Day 1-5 : Rome
Day 5-8: Florence
Day 8: drop by Pisa, go to Cinque Terre
Day 9-11: Cinque Terre
Day 11-14: Venice
Day 14-16 Milan

I am wondering if I should swap Florence and Cinque Terre.

We don’t think we are going to visit a lot of museums, art gallery and Duomo. Just the few important ones. And we will not be driving.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

You may want to reconsider travel to Cinque Terre in November. The weather on average is low of 48 and high 59. You may also find fewer hotel rooms/restaurants open, especially if you are going later in the month. If you decide to go, then, you may want to go from Rome to Cinque Terre (fastest trains can get you there in 3.5 hours), then Cinque Terre to Pisa (for a quick visit), then onto Florence. From Florence, you can then take a train to Venice. We went from Venice to Cinque Terre in May and it took about 5.5 hours.

Oh in that case shall I go to Amalfi before going to Florence?

Are you asking if you should go to the Amalfi Ciastbinstead of to the Cinque Terre? Both the AC and the CT are in off-season in November so many hotels and restaurants are closed. I would skip both areas and add time to your other locations.

Thanks for your advice. In that case I will go to other nearby towns from Florence or Rome.
