Itinerary feedback

I am tying to work out an itinerary and would appreciate any feedback. I will be traveling with my two teenagers.
We will be flying into Milan, staying one night and then taking the train to Florence and will be staying there for 3 nights. I cannot change this leg of the trip. We have 9 more nights and fly out of Milan. We want to make it to Venice and am trying to figure out if it is possible to also get the Aosta valley and a seaside town in on the Mediterranean? Is this too ambitious? I do not want to be traveling constantly. I am also open to renting a car. Alternately, I would visit Venice and the Dolomite's. What do you advise? Thank you!

Yes, I think trying to squeeze in all those locations is too ambitious. I’m sure the Aosta Valley is lovely (I haven’t been), but I can definitely say the Dolomites are absolutely breathtaking. And Venice is not to be missed. If I were you, after the 3 nights in Florence, I’d do 3 nights in Venice, then 4 nights in Ortisei, then end with 2 nights at Stresa. People on this forum say you can take public transport directly from Stresa to the airport in Milan. That way you can spend your final 2 nights on a lake and not have to have an additional night in Milan. I think you should save Aosta, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia for future trips. You can’t fit everything you want to do in the limited time that you have.
