June 20th

  • Go to Regina Giovanna beach. Stay in Sorrento

June 21st

  • Transfer from Sorrento to Naples Airpot

  • Take a flight to Catania

  • Stay in Catania

June 22nd

Welcome!

You don’t have enough time to travel all the way to Sicily. Add the days to AC or Rome

Take fast rain to Salerno - then ferry to Amalfi- much quicker/ easier than thru Naples
Visit Positano from Amalfi ( add a night in Amalfi)

There are dozens of threads here addressing transportation in AC region- read them and be prepared for the crowding and chaos

Thanks Christine, yes I was thinking the same. If I add days in Rome what are good one day trips that I could do from there?
Also, do you know if on the Salerno - Amalfi ferry i'm going to be able to travel with a standard suitcase (not carry-on)?
And what is the best way to travel from Sorrento back to Rome?
And finally i was wondering if it's worth staying in Capri one night or if visiting for the day is enough?

Suitcase will be fine.

From Sorrento- take the Circumvesuviana train to Napoli Centrale (or a private driver) and then fast train to Rome.

I don't think you have time for an overnight in Capri.

A nice day trip from Rome is Orvieto- but don't take too much time away from Rome itself.
You don't mention Pompeii which IMO is a must. If not interested perhaps Ostia Antica outside of Rome would interest you

Do read thru any threads on AC you find here- this is a frequent topic

June 17 to 21st you are staying in Sorrento but are not dedicating any time to explore it. June 23, visiting Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto all the way from Catania is a very, very long and tiring day. Ortigia and Noto each need a full day at a minimum. We stayed in Ortigia a week and could have stayed longer.

If possible, look into taking the ferry from Naples to Amalfi.
Skip Sorrento, visit Positano and Capri from Amalfi.
You can take luggage on the ferries.
Capri is worth staying overnight, there's too much to see as a day trip.
Yes, Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto are too much to see in one day.
I would skip Sicily this trip due to limited time but if you must go, I would rather stay in Ortigia than Catania.

I think you’ve got a mistake in there
Not going to Capri twice are you? 18th and 22nd
Maybe you meant Ravello on 18th, stay in Amalfi

Otherwise it looks fine but a bit short for Rome
