Itinerary Advice: Venice, Bologna, Rome, Naples

We are planning our first trip to Italy, traveling in mid to late June and have about two weeks to spend there. We are a family of 4 with a 13 and an 11 year old. Kids want to see the Colosseum and Pompeii. Adults would like to go to Venice and the mosaics in Ravenna.
Is this itinerary doable or is it too much time lost traveling between destinations?

-Fly into Venice - 3 nights
-Train to Bologna 3 nights with a day trip to Ravenna
-Train to Rome 4 nights
-Train to Naples 2 nights, visit the Archeological Museum the day we arrive, the following day do a day trip to Pompeii
-1 night at airport hotel in Rome, fly out of Rome

We plan to book guided tours for Pompeii and the Colosseum. We could possibly add an extra night in Naples at the end. We like to eat, walk, and enjoy museums, but we need to mix in a few other experiences. Our children are decent travelers and we are all early risers on vacation.

That looks like a good plan.....BUT.....to save time in changing locations and to switch less often......after Bologna, you could get up EARLY and take a train between 6:30-8:30 (takes about 3.5-4 hours-ish) to Naples, then do all of that in Naples, train back to Rome and then live out the rest of your trip in Rome before flying out the last day.

Can you fly out of Naples?

If not do as above and put Rome at end of trip
Archeological museum is closed on Tuesday
