Itinerary

I am flying into Rome and out of Venice ( after a Greek Island cruise). I am working on my itineray in between. I definitely want to spend a couple of nights in Orvieto, then Siena, Cinque Terre, Florence, and before ending up in Venice, I would really like to see the Dolomites (stay in Castelrotto?). I have time to spend at least two nights in each place (three in Rome). My question is if I do the Dolomites, should I do Florence, Cinque Terre, Dolomites, Venice--or Cinque Terre, Florence, Dolomites, Venice?

Whichever you choose, be sure not to end up in Florence on a Monday - that's when all the museums are closed. Same goes for Venice, but not quite as important there. What time of year are you going to be there?
