Hi i'm planning to cover these places - Milan, Verona, Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Rome. Any advice on the number of days to spend in these places? Thanks!!
Milan - 1 or 2 nights(honestly wasn't that thrilled by it other then the Duomo, but we did a day trip to Como so spent 2 nights), Verona - maybe 1 night or just a day on the way to Venice, Venice - would do 3 nights(our 1st trip - only did 1 night, 2nd trip, did 3), Cinque Terre - 2 nights, Pisa - took ~3 hrs for me to visit...if you want more involved - even a half day would do it if you only want to see the Tower, Florence - 3 nights, Rome 4-5 nights...how many days do you have? It really depends on what all you want to see as well...
without knowing your interests or more details I would say Milan 1-2 nights ( you can do most of Milan's major sights in one day if you plan properly), Verona 2 nights, Venice 3-4 nights , Cinque Terre 2-3 nights, Pisa you can spend 1 night or do as a day trip from Florence or see it on your way between Florence and CT, Florence 3-4 nights (add time for day trips possibly) and Rome at least 4 nights...of course more nights in each place is always good
I try not to have to move too often and spend at least a couple of nights in any location, you will lose travel time with each move
You don't say how much time total you have to do this. Also, do share your interests here and you'll get better advice. Happy travels.
