I am planning our honeymoon in Italy and have a basic itinerary that I would like to run by some people with experience for any suggestions.

Fly in to Zurich and stay 2 nights in Lake Lucerne
Train to Venice for 2 nights
2 nights in Florence
3 nights in Tuscany
4 nights in Rome, then fly home
It looks fine but maybe not an ideal honeymoon since there will not be much time for relaxing, sleeping in, etc...
No major issue, though your time is quite abbreviated in Venice. Florence as well if you are interested in art that could be an issue and for that matter depending on your interests you may want more time in Rome.
Lake Lucerne is a place I think in comparison you would not be as impressed with and where I would try and cut out some time to add more time to others in Italy.
As much as I love Switzerland, those two nights would better be spent in Venice and Florence. OR drop "Tuscany" and add a night each to Lake Lucerne, Venice, and Florence.
Have you decided where in Tuscany, outside of Florence, you might stay? Will you rent a car for this portion?
I agree with Laurel and think you should reallocate the time for Tuscany. Make an excursion into the Tuscan countryside from your base in Florence. I would also consider an overnight in Milan between Luzern and Venice.

Milan - 1nt
Venice - 2nts
Florence - 4nts

Thanks everyone for their input and recommendations. I think that 5 hotels would be too much for the time frame. We want to stick with Lucerne, but thinking it would be more prudent to combine Florence and the Tuscan countryside and pick one to stay at for 5 days instead.

I would stay 3 nights in Venice, then 4 nights in Florence with day trips in Tuscany. Siena is a quick bus ride, and there are day tours of Tuscan countryside. $ nights in Rome is good, you could also day trip to Orvieto, about 1 1/2 hrs. away.
