Traveling Sicily - Trying to find the smallest car option that will accommodate 4 adults, 4 carry-on sized luggage, and 4 Personal (backpack/etc., airplane under seat size) - The Alfa Romeo Guilia pops up on the car rental sites - As much as I try, I have difficulty determining by looking at the information and photos if we all fit w/luggage.
With our 4 adults with same luggage as you, we rented a VW Golf wagon diesel standard and it was great.
Cheers,
Jean

Does that help?
Car rental options only guarantee a category, not a model. I would get a station wagon / estate car if possible; the Giulia is a sedan whose trunk isn't particularly roomy and rear seats feel quite confined due to small windows.
We picked up an Alfa Romeo Giulia at Palermo airport and loved the car. We drove it all over Sicily.
The trunk was not big in relation to the size of car. We had two 21” suitcases and two carry on bags and there was not much more room in the trunk.
What pops up on the websites in your online searches isn’t necessarily what you will get. You could get a X car or SIMILAR.
We rented a VW Tiguan in Sicily through Europcar. It was very roomy.
Thanks All- We opted for a Station Wagon-Ford Focus (or Similar) - Rate for 4 passengers, 2 small suitcases 2 large suitcases. So I think that class should do the job. That class should have bigger windows in the second rear passengers to have better visibility as we tour around.
