Hello,
I posted last week but I can't seem to get back to my original post and the replies. We are headed to Europe for three weeks and have about 11 days in Italy. We will spend the first four in Rome. We are drawn to Sienna, Florence, Luca and have mixed feelings about Venice. As we've heard it's so much better in the off season. There was a suggestion about settling in Florence I believe and then taking day trips from there. Or was it Sienna?
Could folks also suggest any VRBO or airbnb contacts?
Thanks so much this is a great help!

Here's your earlier thread.
I find the Search function on this board quite frustrating, so I just Googled for "ricksteves gianffer" and found it.
Thanks! I'll try it.

Dave from Brisbane, wow! Thanks. That looks like a great plan. Have you traveled with children? Do you travel a lot?
Do we need to book trains in advance or day before? Buses? Any suggestions about Airbnb's?
Thanks so much! That's exactly the kind of help we were looking for.

What do your teens want to do? I would put in a word for Venice- very unique city -easy day trip from Florence (tho I would spend a night) and easy to enjoy.
