I love checking out the webcams in Italy and I am noticing so many more people out and about. In Rome Campo de' Fiori is bustling with activity, restaurants have chairs out and tables are filled. Trevi Fountain has people sitting and hanging out. Same with Venice, people out dining and walking around. Of course the crowds are thin, locals only. But I have seen empty streets for so long, little movement. Masks are worn for people moving about. It's encouraging.

Isn't it wonderful to see after all those months of heartbreaking images! Let's hope Italy has finally gotten it under control (and that others will be able to do the same).

Indeed, more foot traffic. Also returning to Venice--this morning I saw a group plunked down on a pier by the Rialto Bridge having a picnic. Thankfully, they were told to move on.
