Hi, yes we will have 13 nights in total. We will be taking the train from Milan to Paris. Nothing has booked so far, so changes can happen

Stay in Sorrento, and see Capri and the Amalfi Coast from there.

Skip the Cinque Terre this trip, and that will save you time for other places on your list. We went there on our trip this past October, after first going there back in 2001. The area was super crowded last fall, and not nearly as enjoyable as it had been 20 years earlier. So I’d definitely recommend not going there on your upcoming 13 day trip, but you might want to scratch it off all fixture trips, and going to other places in Italy.

Skip CT, fly or train from Naples to Milan. You could do about nine days among Naples/AC/Capri (I would do three each), a few on Como, 1-2 in Milan.

I agree with above
Are your flights booked?
If so and you don’t want any nights in Rome I would head south on arrival
Take a fast train from Rome to Salerno then ferry or bus to your town of choice on Amalfi coast-recommend Amalfi-better transportation links there
Spend 3 nights there and visit Ravello and Positano
Then a ferry to Capri for 2 nights
Then to Sorrento or Naples for 3 nights-visit Pompeii

Take a fast train from Naples to Milan then regional train to Lake Como for 3 nights-this will take most of the day (5 hrs+ 1 hr)
And back to Milan for 2 nights before flight to Paris

Do you need help with trains? Or with sights to see or?

Not knowing your final itinerary or what your interests are it’s hard to advise.
Do you have RS Italy guide?
If not I would advise you to get it, it’s got so much info on what to see and do and how to get to and from. You will find it in so invaluable.
You can order online at Amazon and it is available in Kindle format which is great for taking with you.
He also has a guide for just the Naples/Amalfi area

Until then you can start here and see his recommendations for all of Italy

The Cinque Terre is an outlier (it's a hassle to get to from Naples) so skip it and focus on the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como and Milan.
