Bhuvnesh, that is a long list of locations. How many total nights have you allotted for this trip? Can you give us your complete itinerary?

Trains are your best choice; you do not want or need a car in most of those locations. However, you do not say where in "Tuscany" you are going? There are locations there that are better done by car versus public transit.

Agree CJ -- to specifically answer the question -- use the train when available. You have little time for anything else.

you might want to examine your ratio of 'getting there' to 'being there'. Way too much time spent checking in and out of hotels, getting to and from stations, riding on trains. Way to little time seeing and experiencing what you presumably came to see and experience. If it were me I would drop Lake Como, Pisa and Positano for starters so you have a little time for what is left.

I think you've got too many hotels in too many cities for the time you have.

Going to Bellagio on your arrival day for just one night--when you're likely to be very jetlagged and sleep-deprived, is sort of a waste of train fare. Better to go straight to Florence so you're positioned to start your Tuscan time on Day 2.

Panzano in Chianti has no train service. A bus from Florence will take a bit over an hour. I'd do that as a day-trip from Florence rather than subjecting myself to a hotel change for just one night. If you head to Rome from Panzano, you'll have to go back to Florence by bus, anyway, to pick up the Freccia train.

I wouldn't split the time in Rome, which requires two hotel check-in/check-out cycles. Instead, go straight from Tuscany to Positano and put all the Rome nights at the end of the trip.

....Our traveling route is as above with fix dates and booked hotels......

The question was about train, bus or car. The schedule is set. Most would not do it but it is their trip. I am sure they will learn from it.

That assumes there will be survivors

Yikes.
Bhuvnesh, it's unfortunate that you didn't come here for advice before you set your itinerary. I don't think any of us would have recommended trying to do so many places in so little time: you'll spend more of that packing/unpacking, getting to/from hotels and dealing with transport than seeing very much.

But as you said, your schedule is fixed so it is what it is.

Chianti was addressed above.

There also is no train service to Bellagio so the best might be train to Varenna-Esino and a ferry to/from there (other ideas, anyone?). You will change trains in Milan.

Positano has no train station either. You could take a train to Salerno and a ferry to Positano IF the weather is favorable and the ferries are able to dock there.

Or, you can take a train to Naples, the local train (Circumvesuviana) to Sorrento, and hire a private driver to take you to Positano.

Or, hire a private driver to take you from Naples to Positano (most expensive option but least amount of changes).

Or, you can take a train to Naples, a local commuter train (Circumvesuviana) to Sorrento, and a SITA bus or ferry (weather permitting) to Positano from there.

There are probably some other options but these are the methods I see suggested most often on the forum. The Marozzi bus doesn't run from Roma Tiburtina as far as Positano until June. It does go as far as Sorrento but it only has one run on the 9th, and not until 15:00, arriving in Sorrento at 19:00.
