Italy train timetable

I will be traveling From Florence to Venice on july 17.

It seems that the ''only'' departure for now in the morning is 7:15, 9:30 and 9:54 all the other weeks before (withh Trenital;ia) also have a departure at 8:30.

Is there a way to see if 8:30 (or any other time) will be add soon ?

Should I wait before booking for july ?

Can I see a Timetable somewhere ? I usually us DB timetable but it doesnt shows fast train for that date (strange !)

Thanks !

The timetables update in early June, although some will do so earlier. Usually, you can buy tickets for highspeed trains 120 days out but the June schedule change makes it a little less dependable. I plugged your date into www.Trainline.eu and an 8:30 Frecciargento popped up. Super economy fares are available.

(I also checked Trenitalia just now and the 8:30 train if there. I think the schedule is updating. I have seen this happen almost real time so it pays to check often in a situation like this.)

Hi !
Ive just checked on trenitalia and trainline....no signs of a 8:30am train. Are you sure you got the good date ?

Hi. I wonder if Laurel used a different date, as I see a limited schedule as you do. But almost a certainty that the schedule will be filled in with more trains as the date gets closer. If the 8:30 time is important to you vs. 9:30 then you can wait and it will likely appear, but it may not be for awhile as they often take their time filling the schedule for after June 10. Enjoy your trip!

Sorry, I misread it as the 7th! I think, based on experience in past years, they are rolling out the schedules. Check back daily.

Wait a few more weeks till a new schedule is out.
Prices and times don't change much, so if you plug in the right day of the week for a random date say, next month; you'll get a good idea of what to expect.

I had to wait several weeks before my desired train from Venice to Milan at 8:20 was posted. The 8:20 was left vacant for a long time. It was finally posted about 3 days ago.

Thanks to all for those answers.

Im affraid that 8:30 would never shown up (maybe there wont be 8:30 train after july 10...who knows) and that the orhers train will be fully booked or realy expensive.

who knows

The idea of all trains been booked is overly pessimistic, note that there are discounted tickets left on the 8:30 train departing on next Friday. Tons of full price tickets for the same train departing today in 8 hours and 30 minutes.

Nobody else can buy tickets for the trains not yet listed online, so tickets are not selling out and if you check in a couple of months you'll be able to grab one of the discounted fares.

You have been given good advices above by people that know how trains work, just relax and trust them. Italians do not purchase train tickets months in advance and trenitalia knows it when it's time to upload the summer schedules. Nobody worries so much about trains, those few commuters that know about the June 10 timetable change trust that on the 9th everything will be uploaded on trenitalia.com

Italo also does the same fast route. Checked on July 17 and though they may not have many listed, they do list 3 trains that day including a 9:54 which gets into Venice at noon (cost today is $23.90 euro).
