Does anyone have an opinion on using the Trenitalia app VS using ItaliaRail.com?
Looking at a trip from Milan to Florence, the price seems very close.
Just curious of everyone’s experience.

I’ve had no problems with the Trenitalia app. We traveled exclusively by train all around Puglia a couple years ago. The app tells you the status of train you are waiting for ; our experience, every trip on time or 3-4 minutes late. Easy to have tickets on your phone.

ItaliaRail is a third party reseller
Just use the official site or app for either Trenitalia ( fast and regional) or ItaloTreno ( fast trains only)

I always use the app,many benefits like real time updates, buying tickets quickly, and validation of tickets. I do have an italia rail account linked to a credit card

I’ve liked using the Trainline app - easy to use and it works best for me. On our last trip, my husband insisted on using the official Trenitalia Website, and it took him longer, but he saved something like 21 cents.
