planning a 12 day trip - starting in florence, exploring tuscany and Venice then going to paris for few days. best way to get from italy to Paris? planning on independent stays in apartments
Airplane.
AirFrance, EasyJet and Transavia fly from VCE to Paris (either ORY or CDG)
Yep, what Roberto said. Fly.
We agree that flying is usually cheapest as well as fastest; see www.skyscanner.com. A daytime train from Venice to Paris takes 11-12 hours with 1-2 connections. There is a direct overnight train, but not particularly cheap, and not everyone sleeps well on a train. For more about trains within Italy, which are relatively fast and affordable, see http://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/transportation/trains/italy-rail-passes.
Any way but the night train. We took the Venice to Paris night train last year and it was awful. A/C broke, dining room a joke, sleeping compartment (just the 2 of us) very cramped, just not worth it.
