Italy this Summer! Travel tips for Rome, Florence, Sicily, & Naples

This June I'll be taking a Mediterranean cruise and would love some help deciding on where to go! I'll be spending 3 days in Rome, 2 days in Naples, as well as a day in Sicily and a day in Florence. What sights do you all recommend I visit? I enjoy visiting museums, art, shopping, history, and beaches.

Also, do you have tips for what I should and should not wear as a female, young adult for regular day-to-day activities?
Thank you!

Which port in Sicily?

At least some Italian churches require that women's shoulders be covered. I'm not sure about legs, because I'm always wearing full-length slacks or capris. Since every day may include a church, it would be prudent to dress modestly. You can use a large scarf to cover your shoulders if you need to.

Comfortable shoes are critical. You'll be walking on hard surfaces and sometimes on uneven cobblestones. Squishy soles are recommended.

I'm a bit confused? Are you doing these cities ON your cruise itinerary or are you taking extra time before or after your cruise?
If you are doing these cities as part of your cruise, can you please link your specific ship's dates/itinerary/name of ship?

In Naples, the Capodimonte Museum doesn’t get a lot of love, but it’s worth a trip if you’re an art lover. It’s collection has some real treasures, among them some stunning works by Parmigiano.

I think it’s often overlooked because most tourists do not spend much time in Naples itself, and it gets bumped the list of priorities. The museum can be a challenge to get to and back from, so it’s complicated for a day-tripper.
