I am traveling with 3 friends in mid September to Italy. We would like suggestions on guided tours of Milan, Lake Como area and then a trip to Venice. Not all in the same day. We will be in the area for almost a full week.
I traveled with 3 friends to Italy mid-September last year. We stayed in Milan and took day trips to various cities. We took a day tour from Milan to Cinque Terre through Viator/Zani Viaggi. I really liked the tour and would recommend it. The only bummer was that part of the tour included a boat-ride, but the waves were too choppy, so we just had more time to spend in Monterosso al Mare, so it was not a negative by any means.
If you want to see the Last Supper (Il Cenacolo), check their website to buy tickets. It tends to sell out, so our option was to see it with a walking tour through Viator. We also took day trips to Verona, Venice, Florence, and Lake Como, but we opted to just walk around, no official guided tour and we still had a good time.
You don't say where you're staying, but you could do a day trip from Milan to Venice by train.

If you do this get an early start.
Use Milano Central-Venezia S. Lucia
If you know the day you want to go, book as early as possible. Right now, their super economy fares of 19,90€
are still available. Fares go up as these tickets are sold.
The fast train (Frecciarosso) can get you there in 2 hr 25 min.
FR# 9703 D 6:45- A 9:10
FR# 9705. D 7:15- A 9:40
i wouldn't take a later train.
Return.
FR# 9762 D 19:50- A 22:15
This is the last fast train, but there is a later regional train that takes 3 1/2 hours.
This would give you 10 hours in Venice five hours travel time.
For tours of Venice, do one or both of these free tours.
