Italy Rental Car Vandalism and insurance

We will be renting a car in italy with no-deductible insurance. However, I just learned that the rental insurance does not cover the cars tires, windows, roof or interior. I've read that rental cars are a prime target for vandals and thieves and I'm wondering if I should purchase extra insurance to cover the windows etc. Does anyone have any insight on these issues?

Thanks!

A no deductible should cover everything. Check with Autoeurope.com (a consolidator) if you rent through them.

I've never had instances of vandalism with rental cars (or any of my cars) in Italy, and I've lived there almost 30 years. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it is not any more frequent than it could be at home in the US.

And you can't tell a rental car from any other car, unless you leave the contract jacket on the dashboard. Ddon't leave your bags visible when you park and use guarded pay parking lots when you can. It might cost you a few euros but they are safer from potential thieves than just parking in the street.

Thanks,
I probably won't worry about it. The no deductible contract with auto Europe says that the windows, tires, roof, undercarriage and interior are not covered. I spoke to an auto Europe agent and he confirmed that damage to these components would be out of pocket expenses.
