I'm not sure where to post this link to my trip/with photos. I was in Italy for 3 wks in Sept and have photo sets from Milan,Varenna/Lk Como,Castelrotto/Bolzano,Venice,Burano,Florence,Siena,San Gimignano,and the Cinque Terre. Only a few of the over 2000 that I shot! Questions?? I used the rail system extensively and connected to every place I went without problem, and I travelled solo.

Did you use a travel agent or do everything yourself? Im booking my honeymoon in Italy and am completely overwhelmed but if you can do it all for three weeks maybe I have a chance...

Andrea,I planned the whole trip myself with the help of the Rick Steves book, his wonderful in person lectures, and the internet. LOVE the internet. I almost felt like I had done the trip before I actually went, thanks to all the online info and pictures. Now days you can buy tickets online, which I did for trains, museums, shuttles, etc. The thing you want to remember is, if you are not going on an organized tour, don't try to cram too many places in the amount of time you have. It does take up at least part of your day just getting from city to city, finding your hotel, etc. You don't want to feel like every other day is just a travel day. For a honeymoon trip for sure you want some R&R time.
