Rented from VRBO many times in Europe, including an amazing apartment in Florence, and once from holidaysinsicily.co.uk -- also amazing, but never Italy Perfect. Let us know how it goes!

This looks like a very professionally done website. I think you'll be fine. Also the prices are in line with what I've paid before, and they tell you the neighborhoods. Have fun!

Martin, like Donna, we usually use VRBO, and sometimes we use Homelidays.com, or we check out the local town website and see what they have to offer. Whatever you do, get the exact address, and use Google street view to go up and down the street to see what the neighborhood looks like. Make sure that it is not in a seedy area, and that it is not on main street. Find out EXACTLY what floor it is on, and if they have a working elevator. Verify if they have a local contact. If you have questions or problems you want someone that can help.

We rented from them this past May and we were extremely pleased. We rented the Prisco apartment in Florence. It was great!

I haven't used Italy Perfect (yet), but I'm a HUGE fan of their sister company, Paris Perfect. First-class apartments and service all the way.

Good experience with their Flaminio apartment in Rome. Very helpful staff.

A lot of reputable rental websites will let you buy insurance for a small price (vrbo and homeaway are $39)...that way at least your money is protected if the apartment is misrepresented or something. Check out their help section and see if the offer anything similar - gives you piece of mind. :)
