Italy itinerary help

Can you help with my itinerary?

I will be traveling with my daughter and some friends part of the time and meeting up with a family of an exchange student I hosted who is from Italy. His family has apartments in Milan, Treviso and Rome. The other places I will stay in hotels.
My daughter is leaving earlier than me which is why we are going to Rome earlier before going to Ischia.

What do you think of this itinerary?
Milan 3 nights, 2 days - one of the days we will drive to Lake Como and maybe Turin

Treviso 3 nights, 2 days. Drive from Milan to Treviso, stop on the way at Lake Garda and Verona,
go to Venice 1 day, go to islands off venice and surrounding areas

Take train to Florence - 1 night and 1 full day in Florence. Take fast train to Rome at the end of the day.

3 nights, 2 days in Rome

4 nights in Ischia

2 nights in Naples - 1 day in Pompeii

Then I have 3 nights until I have I fly home from Rome. So, I have to get back to Rome by night 3.

What do you suggest the two additional nights? Should I add a night to Naples and a night to Ischia or go somewhere else?

I would add a night in Florence (one night is really just in and out), one in Rome (either pre-flight if morning flight, or four nights in a row) and one in Naples (can be used for Capri).

The beginning of this trip seems extremely hectic to me. I think you're going to have one eye on your watch the entire time. I definitely wouldn't add any more stops, and I hope you'll allow yourself to skip a mid-day stop-over if you're feeling too pressed.

You need to do some research if this is your first time driving in Italy, else you may be gifted with a lot of fines for traffic violations after you come home.
