As a first timer to Italy, I am trying to get familiar with all the transportation and hotel options. Walking for any length of time or strenuous effort would be hard. We are flying into and out of Rome with the following plans:
Oct. 1st - October 6th Rome: Arrival October 1st, leaving October 6th, no hotel or Airbnb yet, No event tickets, guided tours are extremely expensive, especially Viator tours where prices seem misrepresented.
Train to Florence RVTrain arriving 12:50.
October 6th - Florence: October 6th Arrival, leaving Oct.10th, Naples
Airbnb, Fiore (not booked but looks affordable)
includes day trip to Siena
Train to Naples RVTrain (not booked)
October 10th - Naples, nothing booked yet.
Pompeii, Herculaneum
Amalfi coast tour.d
October 14th - Train to Rome airport
Will appreciate any suggestions.
