Italy in November

Has anyone gone to Italy in November? How bad is the rain? (I only heard it was the rainiest month of the year and some places may be closed).
My friends and I are planning on going to Venice, Florence, and Rome.

Hi Katarina,

I have been to Italy in November and the weather was great. In fact Rome was beautiful, sweater and light jacket. Venice is a little cooler because of the water. It rained one day when we were in Venice and the rest of the time it was sunny. In fact I am going back to Rome, Florence and Venice this November. Have a great trip.

We spent Thanksgiving week in Florence a few years back and had only one day of rain, and that was on and off. However, up north in Milan and the lake areas they were having torential downpours most of the week. Rome was having nice weather.
