My friend and I are going to Italy from November 17-25, 2007. We had hoped to travel to Pompeii and Sorrento and Positano after visiting Venice and Florence. Is there anything we should know about travel to Southern Italy during November. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Tippy,
I have been to Italy twice in November and the weather was great each time. In fact it was a little warmer in Pompeii. I would layer my clothes that way if it gets too hot you can remove something. Enjoy.
Tippy, plan on a bit of rain, so take a lightweight rain jacket that you can use to layer with fleece for those colder days/nights.
you might have fun watching this live webcam of Sorrento! www.sorrentoinfo.com
I've watched this for over a year, and I see that it gets rain in November, and the people there are wearing jackets. Keep in mind, no one can predict the weather, but best to be prepared!
