I'm looking to rent a house near the coastfor a week or two, perhaps in Liguria. Any ideas for a website, or agency, to help me find a place?

I agree vrbo.com is a great website. I rented a 6 bedroom / 3 bath house in Maui and was very pleased with their service and how the site is set up (very user friendly). I also found the information and pictures on their site to be very accurate. The owners I have rented from were willing to negotiate their rates. I have also heard of homeaway.com, but haven't use them yet.

Hi, Sue. I don't know that I'd "recommend" it, but we actually had great luck with craigslist - go to the city you want, the "holiday rentals". We got a beautifully for only 120EUR per night. Of course it varies by the property on CL, but it's another option we had luck with.
