I'm traveling to Italy over New Years. I was wondering if anyone else has been over there during that time. We are thinking of going to Rome, Venice, and Milan. Any tips on festivities, events, what to do, any closings, etc. would be helpful. Also, any suggestions on what you enjoyed in those cities would be helpful. Thanks!
I was in Rome for new years 2000. It was fantastic. If you can get tickets to new years eve mass at St. Peters I would highly recommend it. Otherwise, many people come to St. Peters Square for the new years event. Just remember, Happy New Years is: "Buon Anno!" in Italian. Everyone is shouting Buon Anno all night long. Remember that and you will have a great time!
