Hello - which provider is recommended to get eSim Card when visiting Italy for two weeks? And is it better to order in advance (if that's even an option) or buy one at the airport in Rome?
In my experience, the large e-Sim apps Airalo, Holafly, Ubigi, Saily, Nomad, they're all going to work. They don't actually have their own unique cell network. I would do some basic research on what cell tower network this eSim will provide access to. If you're going to be in major cities, I wouldn't worry that much about getting a cell signal.
You may get a better price going to a Vodafone retail store or similar once you're in Italy.
Also, make sure you have an unlocked phone and know how to set up an esim with your phone.
I see one for Vodafone for $27 for 15 days which will work. It appears I can purchase that online as well.
We've been very happy with an Airalo esim during our three most recent trips to Italy --- you buy the one you want online, install it at home, then it activates once you land in Italy. Easy to top up data. I used 10GB in 30 days, but wouldn't have needed all that if our last apartment didn't have broken wifi and I hadn't had a cold for that week and therefore "had to" watch a lot of videos. You know that your phone needs to be unlocked and that it's not a physical "card," right?

Correct, the phone is already unlocked and eSim compatible.
