On the travel channel I once saw a cable car that traveled up a mountain in Italy. It made stops at little villages along the way. Would you happen to know where that is?

There are many cable cars in Italy and many different types. Was the one you saw a funicular, that is a train that is on tracks that travels up the hill while a matching unit comes down, or was it one that is suspended from cables? They are all over the country with many concentrated in the north, in the Dolomite mountains. I cannot think of one I've been on that stops in villages as usually they are point-to-point, but any details you can give to clarify might jog my memory or someone else's.
margie,
As Laurel mentioned, there are many cable cars and funiculars all over Italy (and the rest of Europe). Can you remember any more details about the one you saw? That would help to narrow it down.
Hi, guys
I'd like to visit Sardinia with my partner, we're looking for a 5 star hotel with all inclusive and swimming pool. If you have any suggestions, write me. I'll be really thankful.)
